On July 21st, the fourth NG20000 wind turbine installation vessel "Wind Ace" customized by Qidong COSCO Shipping Marine Engineering for Denmark's Cadeler Company successfully completed its commissioning and was officially delivered for sailing.
Extra-large working space
With a super large deck spanning over 5,600 square meters and a payload capacity of 17,600 tons, it is akin to erecting a mobile working factory at sea.
Extraordinary lifting capacity
With a main lifting capacity exceeding 3,300 tons, it can precisely install ultra-large wind turbines of over 20 megawatts, confidently handling the next generation of offshore wind turbines.
Ultra-stable operation depth
With four 120-meter pile legs, it is capable of stable operation in water depths up to 70 meters, covering the vast majority of offshore wind farms worldwide.
Green power, offshore "mobile power station"
Equipped with a 5000 kW battery energy storage hybrid power system and featuring a reserved methanol fuel interface, this vessel can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by thousands of tons annually, truly embodying the concept of a "green power station at sea".
Mixed design, doubled efficiency
The "WIND ACE" vessel features a unique hybrid design, allowing it to quickly transition from a basic installation vessel to a wind turbine installation vessel. With a single load, it can transport and install up to seven 15-megawatt turbine units or six XL monopiles, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.
The delivery of the "WIND ACE" vessel is an epitome of Qidong COSCO Shipping Marine Engineering's continuous iteration, delivering four vessels in four years.
As of now, Qidong COSCO Shipping Offshore has undertaken a total of 18 orders for high-end wind turbine installation vessels.
